The Beogram 1000 model came in 2 versions:
Beogram 1000V - for use with the Beomaster 1000, 3000, Beocord 2000 DeLuxe, 2400 etc, where the
pickup output went directly to the output cable
Beogram 1000VF - which included a pre-amplifier and equaliser (type GF3) that brought the output level
up to DIN standard for a tape recorder or radio tuner.

There are five types of this model: 5202 (1965 - 1971); 5203 (1965 - 1973); 5229 (1965 - 1973); GB5212 (1965 - 1973) and V5223 (1965 - 1972).

Sound: Natércia Barreto performs a Portuguese version of the original single by Skeeter Davis, which appeared under the title "Óculos de Sol" in 1968.
The song Sunglasses was first performed by the American Skeeter Davis in 1965.


The Beogram 1000 was the first Bang & Olufsen turntable to be labelled with the "Beogram" suffix.

The turntable and overall design are by Jacob Jensen, and the neck mechanism and MMC capsule are by Erik Rørbæk Madsen.

In 1925, Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen founded Bang & Olufsen, in Struer (Denmark).
